The Central Hindi Training Institute (CHTI) is a premier government institute established in 1985 under the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Its primary purpose is to provide intensive, in-service training to Central Government employees, public sector undertakings, nationalized banks, and statutory bodies to promote the use of Hindi in official work.

A parliamentary committee established to review the progress made in the use of Hindi for official purposes and submit reports to the President.

Responsible for translating complex manuals, codes, procedural literature, and administrative documents of Union Ministries and Departments from English to Hindi and vice versa
